My Husband Used to Drink This!

Your Score: Boddingtons

(33% dark & bitter, 33% working class, 100% genuine)

Boddingtons is a slightly ritzy, but truly tasty, beer. In case you
don't know, each can has this little contraption inside that fizzes when you open it to give the beer a delicious creamy head.

Now, being a good girl, I will make no claims about the creaminess of your head. But I will suggest that, based on the results of your test, you have a light, friendly disposition, and I consider the bouyant fizz of a Boddingtons to be the beery analogue of that. Your test also indicates you have refined tastes, and Boddingtons is my favorite beer. If you've never had one, get one sometime soon.

And by the way, this was gacked from the ever lovely camwyn.

I'd rather be drinking Dos Equis Amber.

Hey, is philgam British? I don't know why, but hearing you talk about him, that's the impression I've gotten.

On another note, I really hate beer. I could never stand the taste of it.

Tecnically, pilgham is a Brit, but, other than uni, he's lived in this country since he was 2.

It's funny, because both his parents are now naturalized and his little sister was born here which just leaves P and his older brother as the damn furriners.

Does he have an accent at all?

Not that I notice but I've been with the guy for nearly 27 years.

His Dada, however was talking about the opera "Common" and I had no clue what he was talking about. ("Carmen")

He didn't used to when he was a teenager. His brother moved back to the UK for a bit and had an accent when he got back. That was odd.

(Then again, so did a schoolmate who stayed with his sister in Wales for a summer. In September, the rest of us were convinced he had an accent. And he responded: "Nuw I duwn't!")

Heh, I already know I like Old Speckled Hen. An amber brew with a bit of zest and yet the solid background of an old stand-by.

But would you be reincarnated as an Old Speckled Hen?

Well, one interpretation of my name means 'a flock of young chicks', so, maybe.

each can has a contraption? WTF?

It's why P loves me; I also have a fizzing widget.

Yes, each can has a doohickey that makes it foam. From what I can gather from a quick google and reference to wikipedia, nitrogen is released when the can is opened, pressurizing the can to give a smooth, less carbonated tasting head (than C02). Ot something like that.

hm. and i guess just not tilting the glass doesn't work well enough for some. it works fine for me tho!

Brew age? Guiness has the same thing.

...to give the beer a delicious creamy head.

Yes, my husband loves me because of my fizzing widget!
