Very Good Day!

The last week or two have been very unsatisfying for me. I don't feel I have accomplished anything.

Today, I fixed not one but two things! Two!

I won't go into technical detail but mark this well, never try to render Chinese characters using Verdana.

I Am A: True Neutral Half-Elf Ranger Thief

True Neutral characters are very rare. They believe that balance is the most important thing, and will not side with any other force. They will do whatever is necessary to preserve that balance, even if it means switching allegiances suddenly.

Half-Elves are a cross between a human and an elf. They are smaller, like their elven ancestors, but have a much shorter lifespan. They are sometimes looked down upon as half-breeds, but this is rare. They have both the curious drive of humans and the patience of elves.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Thieves are the most roguish of the classes. They are sneaky and nimble-fingered, and have skills with traps and locks. While not all use these skills for burglary, that is a common occupation of this class.

Silvanus is the True Neutral god of nature. He is also known as the Patron of Druids. His followers believe in the perfect balance of nature, and believe that nature's bounty is preferable to any other 'civilizing' method. They wear leather or metallic scale mail, constructed of leaf-shaped scales. Silvanus's symbol is an oak leaf.

I can understand Neutral. Half-elf is cool and motherhood has made me patient. Ranger? Just no. The earth's resources are there for me to use. As for Thief, I don't think someone with my demon hand can be a thief.

Mood: accomplishedaccomplished

I will take your word for all of it.

You don't have to. Look at the character map for Verdana. There isn't a single multibyte character in the lot.

How much of a byte per character might I expect?

With Verdana? Just the one. It's all Latin.

Sounds cheap. Latin is pretty clunky.

Egyptian hieroglyphics are clunkier though.

Surprisingly, I don't think Unicode includes hieroglyphics, only the living lannguages.

I suppose you could call Latin a litch.

Nice that both you and Noko are true neutral - rare birds the both of you.

You mean the demon hand has reservations about thievery - and you'd let THAT stop you?

No! no! Not reservations! Ineptitude! I'd let that stop me!

As a neutral person, you would know to. Not much personal vanity, neutral people.

not about my dexterity at any rate

A bumbling thief - didn't take getting caught too many times did it?

Uncoordinated, yes. Stupid, no.

Do you suppose the reason Mycroft sat around letting Sherlock, and others, do all the legwork, was becaue he was incredibly bumbling?

I hear he ran away to join the circus but was thrown out for bumbling -- but not enough to become a side show. Government work was really all he was ever suited for.

but Yogi, what about the Ranger?

Yogi isn't going to save your little Babboo.

. . . Demon hand? I guess I missed something.

You don't know about my demon hand?

It types out homonyms and words other than what I was intending to type

Right now it is compounded by puss pat.

Ahhhh. I think I have that. Or maybe it's typo blindness. Or maybe I should pay attention to what I'm typing.

You have a pre-schooler. It's very similar.

I'm impressed by the thief result, O wily one.

But I'm as honest as the day is long, more honest in winter!

Not when you amortize the two things over the past two weeks...

Fixing stuff is always good.

Anyway, hi! I was wondering if you'd mind if I friend you? I'm trying to go through the LJ thread on Z!

I'm pretty dull but go right ahead.

Thanks! :)
