Um. I'm pretty old too, and I have to admit I watched a lot of the crappier shows listed here, and for the same reason. At the time I was happy to have an independent TV station in addition to the 3 network channels. Where else would you watch Gilligan's Island, (original) Star Trek and I Love Lucy, over and over?

How come you won't be going to see the giant cross?

The teenager is dragging her feet and my husband is a bit concerned about the weather at the end of March. Personally, I'm sure the Cross would be fine but as a couple of the other sights I was interested in require a bit of hiking, I'd rather not do it in the mud.

We're just postponing.

You haven't watched Red Dwarf? The shame of it.

I'm not sure if I've seen one or two epsidoes or read one or two books but, as I recall, it's too dark for me.

I thought the shame was in Gomer Pyle. And the Brady Bunch.

Then I share your shame.

We must don the red "T" so others can point and cluck.

ANd it's not like I even enjoyed Gomer Pyle...

The Brady Bunch, on the other hand?

It's hard to remember back that far...

It was the 70s, a different time...We had different standards then...

Hell if I know, must have gotten a chortle or two out of it.

I can't remember why I watched it. :?

We were young, yet just old enough to wish for a different set of siblings.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think by the time TBB started, my brothers had long been moved out.

Perhaps I thought Davey Jones would be on more? Or perhaps Mike Nesmith?

There's a crossover I'd like to see, TBB/PotC2!

You haven't seen Beavis and Butthead or Dr. Who. You're really missing out.

wow, you're absolutely sure you've seen every Inuyasha ep - I can't say the same, I know I'm missing a dozen or more, but I've seen several episodes five or six times against my will so maybe that counts. I'm trying to remember Strange Luck - I keep thinking I liked the show but am drawing a blank. And Lush Life, didn't that star Jeff Goldblum?

That cross is just huge.

I may have seen an ep of B&B.

I watched the old Dr. Who...

I bought HK subs of Inuyasha and then switched to fan subs, that's how I know I saw every single one.

Strange Luck was about this guy (Matthew Modine) with luck against the odds, sometimes good, sometimes bad. He was a freelance news photographer and before the opening credits of the first episode he jumped off the roof of a building so he could take pictures of a jumper on the way down. I believe he also tried to help her because he was a nice guy.

Lush Life starred Lori Petty and I found it quite amusing but apparently it was too vulgar/multi-cutural for its time because it was cancelled after only 3 eps aired.

Screw, still can't remember Strange Luck despite the positive feeling association. Maybe I'm mixing it up with Strange Brew, but then the positive feeling would need explaining.
