Pokey parties kept cutting me off on the way to work this morning. Meanwhile, 18 Wheels and a Crowbar was playing on my Rockbox. Not a good safe driving combination!

I used my Rockbox which mostly has the stuff I particularly like but also has stuff that is new and hasn't had the boring tracks culled, yet.

1. I Put a Spell on You -- Credence Clearwater Revival
2. Juan Loco -- Rodrigo & Gabriela
3. Ghostbusters -- Ray Parker Jr.
4. stray -- Yoko Kanno
5. So Long It's Been Good to Know Yuh -- Weavers
6. 12 Step Program -- Nick Lowe
7. Take the Reins -- Mike + the Mechanics
8. The Battle of Bull Run -- Johnny Horton
9. The Dirty Boogie -- Brian Setzer
10. Smiling Faces -- Undisputed Truth
11. WANTED! (karaoke version) -- One Piece Music and Song Collection 2 (the artist was probably in kanji)
12. Christmas at Ground Zero -- "Weird Al" Yankovic
13  Suite in D for two trumpets, timpani, strings and basso continuo: Les Postillions -- Telemann
14. Clutch -- Future Blues is the album but I don't know the artist.
15. Yakko's Universe -- Yakko Warner
16. I Fought the Law -- Bobby Fuller Four
17. Cat Blues -- Yoko Kanno
18. Babylonian Babe -- Mr. Pink
19. Zombie Prostitute -- Voltaire
20. Overtaken -- One Piece Music and Song Collection 2 (the artist was probably in kanji)
21. Johnny Quest/Stop the Pigeon -- Reverend Horton Heat
22. Half a Boy and Half a Man -- Nick Lowe
23. Achy Breaky Song -- "Weird Al" Yankovic

Note 1: I expect to cull tracks 1, 5 and 7 so I did 23. 19 isn't ringing a bell but all Voltaire sounds alike.
Note 2: I actually have artists on there besides Nick Lowe, Yoko Kanno, Weird Al and  One Piece OSTs. I have the Austin Lounge Lizards.
Note 3: The instructions say to tag but I don't roll that way. I am a believer in self-tagging.

Once you've been tagged...
(1) Turn on your MP3 player or Computer
(2) Go to SHUFFLE songs mode.
(3) Write down the first 20 songs that come up--song title and artist--NO editing/cheating, please.
(4) Choose however many people you wish. It is generally considered to be in good taste to tag the person who tagged you.

*If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about your musical tastes, or at least a random sampling thereof.

I am getting pretty damn bored of the Arrancar of the week...

Though I did enjoy Charlotte Cuuhlhourne.

[info]pilgham has looked at spoilers and warns me there is no end in sight.

Have I mentioned that I joined a sports team last week? Probably the first one I've ever belonged to?

All right, it's a virtual team but still... It's not like fantasy baseball, I do have to do actual physical activities.

Vathara  has done it again. Previously she -- I assume "Vathara" is a she -- has crossed Kenshin with, among others, Buffy, SG-1, and, my personal favorites, an RPG called NightLife. Her newest work, Dragons of Revolution, crosses Rurouni Kenshin with the Temeraire series:

In a world where a British captain is the adopted son of the Emperor, the Opium Wars probably didn't happen... meaning the Revolution may be very, very different.

I was definitely left wanting more.

Note: You don't have to have read Temeraire to enjoy this if you know that dragons exist, there are many breeds, they talk, they are used in warfare and they select a human companion.

MD and I went to the Chicago Botanic Garden Friday. Despite what the propaganda said, not much was in bloom. But we still had a pleasant time.

MD was very patient with me as I screwed around with my camera taking these pictures:

Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.

I saw Star Trek at the IMax. It was good. I very much admired how they made their AU into a continuation.

Tonight's movie was Hard Target. It'd been awhile and I didn't remember how slow the movie is to get going, with just bad guys torturing bad guys and good guys torturing bad guys. MD was so bored she fetched the study guide for one of her classes for entertainment. When I think of Hard Target I think of the movie containing what I feel is Wilford Brimley's greatest role.

I hadn't previously noticed the romantic relationship between Henricksen's and Vosloo's characters. I love that Henricsen is going to charge extra for the privilege of removing Henricksen's problem and the utter contempt that Henricksen expresses for his customers. However, I don't think I would want to work for a man who called me a "dog" especially when the correct job title is "beater".

Point me at any Hard Target/Witchblade crossovers.
